Alarm Technician to FMTIS
The Swedish Armed Forces is looking for a new employee with a focus on Technical Surveillance for the FMTIS Implementation Department in Linköping.
About the Unit
GE Syd conducts operations that ensure the Armed Forces' ability to communicate and lead, around the clock - all year round. The unit consists of over 180 employees distributed across 7 departments in 6 locations within the Southern Military Region (MR S).
Main Responsibilities:
- Conversion, installation, and commissioning of alarm components.
- Troubleshooting and servicing of alarm systems.
- Report and document ongoing and completed work.
The work is carried out both independently and in teams, primarily in the field, which involves travel within the country.
Qualifications
- High school education with a focus on electrical installations or post-secondary education that we assess as equivalent.
- Experience with wired alarm components.
- Good ability to express oneself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
- Driver's license at least B (with manual transmission).
- Good physical condition.
Meritorious:
- Good knowledge and understanding of networks and IT infrastructure.
- Electrical authorization.
- Completed Military Service/Basic Military Training or experience from the Armed Forces, e.g., Home Guard.

Start Date
Start date according to agreement. The employment is a permanent position with a six-month probationary period.
